Octanex N.L. (“the Company”) and its subsidiaries (“the Group”) are involved in oil and gas exploration and its related activities in the offshore waters within the jurisdiction of Australia. The related activities include investment in companies operating within the wider energy sector both inside and outside of Australia.

The Company was incorporated in Victoria on 13 March 1980 and is listed on National Stock Exchange of Australia Limited (“NSX”) under the NSX code OCT.

There are also options in the Company that traded under the NSX code OCTOF until 30 June 2009. With effect from 1 July 2009, the NSX code for the listed options will change to OCTOL, as the expiry date for those options was extended to 31 December 2010 and the options traded under the OCTOF code expire.
